IELTS Speaking is another one of the sections many struggle at because speaking is something that has to be trained over a longer period of time to be able to fully master. Even if you feel you are fluent in English, studying the strategy to IELTS speaking is also a must if you want to achieve a higher score.
IELTS speaking consists of 3 parts:
- Part 1, which asks general, short answer, questions
- Part 2, which gives you a prompt with 1 minute given to think about your answer and 2 minutes to talk about said answer
- And part 3, which asks for short answer questions just like part one, but aiming towards a specific topic, e.g., health, fashion, etc.
The main strategy that you can apply is to constantly train speaking a long time(months or even a year) before taking the test by using it in your daily life. You can also expose yourself more to English by watching more content online. On the test day however, just remember to be confident!
