Requirements of Indian Universities

The Indian system is highly fragmented and split by university type. Technical institutes (IITs/NITs) rely only on centralized exam scores, while top private universities (like Ashoka) use a holistic, US-style application.

• Exam Entrance: Your JEE rank or SAT/ACT score. (Most important, as this is the primary or sole criteria for all top-tier engineering and many top private universities).

• Diploma and transcripts (must be certified for an AIU Equivalence Certificate post-admission).

• Essays: Personal Statement (only for private universities).

• Letters of Recommendation (only for private universities).
