Requirements of German Universities
Germany's system is highly academic and decentralized. Admission is based
almost entirely on your high school grades and diploma. There is no holistic review. Apply through Uni-assist or direct to the univ portal. The two biggest factors are:
Diploma Equivalence: Does your high school diploma grant you a Hochschulzugangsberechtigung (HZB), or "university entrance qualification"?
Language: Most Bachelor's programs are taught in German. You must prove C1 proficiency. (A growing number of English-taught programs exist, but they are more common at the Master's level).
